Featuring exterior contours identical to our solid log profiles and precise tongue-and-groove interlocks, Kuhns Bros. Log Siding install easily in typical “stick-built” applications.

Came time to replace the siding on his house, the homeowner was looking for a warmer look, blending nicely with his lakefront setting. Log Chips accomplished just that by adding kiln-dried log siding and replacing the deck and railings with full round logs and iron posts. A 6 x 8 truss system was also added to create a more authentic log home look.


Options

  • Choose from three different profiles:
    - Traditional “D”
    - Swedish Cope
    - Dovetail
  • Outside corners can terminate at a vertical corner board, or you can specify our popular solid log corners for authentic 10” extensions (see illustration left). Note: Extension not available in Dovetail profile.
  • Eastern White Pine standard; Western Red Cedar is also available.
  • A rustic hand-hewn finish can be specified on the exterior surface.
  • We can also supply you with tongue-and-groove White Pine paneling, which is installed horizontally on the interior walls to complete the look and feel of a solid log home; 1” x 8” standard, 1” x 6” special.
